What is this place?

Welcome to Bleach World, My name is Jogarr and I’m the author of this website. This website was born from a desire for the internet to be the fun and interesting place it used to be, back when it didn’t have such a big presence in our lives and when sites were fun to visit.

Why was this place created?

The idea for this website was inspired by the novelty of the web in the 90s and 00s and was created with the aim of providing general fun and entertainment indepedently from the bigger platforms on the internet, which lack personality in their presentation in favor of universality. Even the big corporate websites in the earlier times were fun and had plenty of character compared to the more “professional” user experience we have now. The general atmosphere of the internet has gone from chaotic and fun, to serious and professional, so I decided to create my own with that sense of fun and excitement in mind.

The first essay I published here was about this exact thing. It turns out, a lot of people on Neocities think the same way and created their own sites just like I did. Part of the fun of using the internet was finding websites by happenstance through exploring. That was the type of website Bleach World was meant to be, a curious website that arouses the interests of people who happen to find it.

Why is it called Bleach World?

It was named “Bleach World” because the aims for this site is to be subversive and provoking, to be abraisive and brash, like bleach; content that cuts through the grease and scum from the filthy bathwater of society that we've gotten used to. A place unashamedly confrontational, blunt and volitile. It was the idea of bold content that led to such a bold color choice of yellow that you can see right now.

Any plans for this site?

Most of the content here is just written work by Jogarr. The work of translating thoughts to words and then constantly reviewing and rewriting takes much time and energy, so the current plan for the website is to also feature found content from the internet. This was tried already with the Comedy Corner section, which was an area of the site with fun short video clips, but the free version of Neocities doesn't allow even teeny small video clips which meant the online source had to be used, but they went down and aren't acessible anymore so RIP. There's also a plan for Bleach World to have its own email address where people can submit something to be featured here. It could be essays, stories, poetry, or it could be artwork or comic strips. Just anything interesting for people to stumble upon.

Work on the site is on an indefinate hiatus.

That’s it, enjoy
